PayLokal is strictly committed to preventing its systems from being used for money laundering, terrorism financing, or other illegal activities. This Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy is designed to comply with global banking standards and the guidelines set forth by the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and international partners (such as dLocal).
Before any transaction can be processed, all users must complete our mandatory identity verification process. This includes:
Our systems automatically monitor and analyze cross-border transactions in real-time. We flag and review any transaction that appears suspicious, unusually large, or deviates from the user's established behavioral profile.
PayLokal fully cooperates with law enforcement and financial intelligence units (like COAF in Brazil). Suspicious activities are promptly reported as required by law, without prior notice to the user under investigation.
All users and transactional counterparties are continuously screened against global sanctions lists, including but not limited to the OFAC, UN Security Council, and EU Consolidated lists.
